Steward Transport’s 50th Anniversary

Based in Paddock Wood, Kent, Steward Transport is a long-standing customer of MC Truck & Bus having bought trucks from them since they first opened their doors. Their relationship with Volvo Trucks goes back even further as it began way back in 1979. The company now runs a 45 strong all-Volvo fleet consisting of tractor units, drawbar rigids and 8-wheel rigids.

In addition to the special gold Volvo tractor unit, as part of this order MC Truck & Bus has also supplied five 500bhp Volvo FH 6×2 44 tonne drawbar trucks, with the I-shift gearbox and polished alloy wheels as standard, and each truck has been fitted with a brick carrying body and rear mounted crane. The nine-vehicle order has been completed with addition of three 420bhp, 32 tonne Volvo FM 8 wheelers, specified with I-shift gearboxes, full air suspension, polished alloy wheels and front and rear nearside lower door windows. Once again, these three Volvo 8 wheelers have been fitted with specialist brick carrying bodies.
