1993 saw the introduction of the brands most iconic truck the Volvo FH, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary.
MC Rental (known then as MC Truck Rental) in conjunction with MC Truck and Bus registered first ever FH on the road in the UK. Since then MC Group have been supplying the truck in all variations to customers throughout the UK.
When it was launched in 1993 with features like the D12A engine and Volvo Engine Brake, the technical specs impressed. But maybe even more impressive was the focus on the driver.

- The class leading “I” shift Gearbox and now with the option of the dual clutch
- Features like the unique Volvo Dynamic Steering that perfects the steering control and reduces driver strain injuries at the same time.
- The Volvo Engine Brake giving the Volvo FH great braking power from the start.
- The cab was designed after countless tests with real drivers. It was with their needs in mind that every decision was made. This resulted in a cab that really impressed the market. The Volvo FH was not just a place for driving – it was also a place for living.
- Now offering engine power outputs from 420BHP to 750BHP currently the most powerful production truck available.
The FH has continued with technological and engineering developments to cement its place as one of the country’s most popular trucks.
