MC HAS THE WINNING FORMULA
MC Truck and Bus demonstrated a successful 2017 by winning two awards at Volvo’s annual conference.
MC scooped awards in the Service Excellence and Sales Success categories, covering business segments of new sales and aftermarket, demonstrating the importance the company places on all aspects of its operations.
Truck sales executive Wayne Coombes was recognised for his achievements in his first year in the role, being shortlisted to three sales execs nationwide. He was commended for his positive ‘can do; attitude, and willingness to learn new ways of working to achieve his goals. Based in Southampton, Wayne exceeded his targets, selling over 50 trucks in his first year, adding to the success of the sales team as a whole for the figures achieved in 2017.

The winning streak continued with Portsmouth depot taking 1st place in the 2017 Service Excellent Awards for medium sized dealers. This is a significant achievement as it takes into consideration a range of factors including customer survey feedback, Volvo Action Service performance and dealer quality audits. MoT first time pass rate is also a factor of which the depot scored 97% against the national average of 85%.
Depot general manager Danny Needham said “this is such a fantastic achievement, it not only represents a great team effort but is testament to their skill and dedication. We work hard to give our customers the best service and it feels great to be recognised for that.”
