MC Group had a Holly Jolly Time

MC Group had a Holly Jolly Time on 23^rd December 2021 as they got creative and wore their festive jumpers in aid of two chosen charities based in Kent; Porchlight and Hypo Hounds.

Porchlight is Kent’s largest charity for homelessness and vulnerable people. 9,300 households in Kent face homelessness this winter and Porchlight are there for people who have nowhere to go and no-one to turn to. Some are living on the streets, others need support to prevent or resolve any issues that could put them at risk of homelessness.

Hypo Hounds train dogs to detect and alert to the dangerous changes their Type 1

Diabetic owner’s blood sugars. By alerting their owners or their families to these

changes in blood sugars, Hypo Hounds can help to prevent potentially life-threatening hypoglycaemic attacks. These are known as hypos and result from low blood sugar levels. Hypo Hounds services are focused on children, enabling them to gain independence and freedom.

The Christmas jumper day efforts this year were excellent, with lots of variety! Through donations and a just giving page, the group raised over £300 for each cause. They were also treated to delicious treats made by colleagues which look mouth-watering as you can see below!
