Two new additional, Mercedes Sprinter LWB panel vans, featuring twin compartment Paneltex refrigerated van conversions, are now working across the UK and Europe delivering and collecting high-valued pharmaceutical loads for Arctic Express.

With their striking livery, the latest two Mercedes Sprinters with the Paneltex conversions both feature Thermo King V300 Spectrum refrigeration systems with single phase standby, supplied by TK dealer Marshall Fleet Solutions. The twin compartment refrigerated bodies can run both cold chain, from +2° C to +8° C, and controlled ambient, from +15° C to +25° C, in either the front or the rear compartments, allowing flexibility for customers. Both vehicles also feature Transcan 2 temperature monitoring devices and trackers from Seven Telematics, as well as the vehicles having deadlocks on the rear and side loading doors, as well as the driver and passenger doors, for additional security. Both vehicles have front and rear facing cameras fitted as standard.

In recent years, MC Rental has supplied all eight pharmaceutical specification vehicles operated by Northampton-based Arctic Express Global, who provide a specialist temperature-controlled logistics service for the food and pharmaceutical sector. Arctic Express operates a comprehensive UK and European door-to-door service exclusively based on Mercedes vans supplied by MC Rental.

All equipment is fully temperature mapped and calibrated in line with MHRA and GDP compliance requirements, as Arctic Express also hold a WDA(H) storage licence to store both cold chain, at +2° C to +8° C and controlled ambient, at +15° C to +25° C, pharmaceuticals for their customers.
