MC’s Eventful Summer Showcasing the Best in Trucking Innovation

This summer, MC Truck and Bus experienced a flurry of activity, participating in two major events that showcased the very best of Volvo Trucks vehicles. From hands-on demos at the iconic Brands Hatch to a standout display at Truckfest South East, we’ve been busy bringing the latest innovations to trucking enthusiasts, businesses, and industry experts. Here’s a recap of our action-packed summer and how MC can continue to serve your trucking needs.

MC Hosts a Thrilling Ride and Drive Event at Brands Hatch

In July, MC hosted a leg of the national Volvo Trucks roadshow at Brands Hatch, welcoming over 70 guests for an exclusive experience. This event gave attendees the opportunity to get up close and personal with Volvo’s newest trucks, including both diesel and electric models.

The highly anticipated Aero cab, Volvo FM low-entry cab, and the all-electric FH and FM models were all showcased, offering a glimpse into the future of trucking.

One of the key highlights of the event was the chance for guests to test-drive these vehicles, allowing them to experience the trucks’ cutting-edge technology and performance on a real-world road route. This hands-on experience left a lasting impression on many of our attendees.

To ensure guests got the most out of the day, we had various Volvo specialists on hand. Rachael Botcher for Volvo Connect, John Comer for product and Mark Collins for Volvo Electric Trucks joined us to offer insights into telematics, safety systems, and the latest in electric vehicle technology. Our own MC Rental team also provided valuable information about our services, including rental, contract hire, and used truck sales.

The positive feedback we received from our guests confirmed the event’s success. The combination of expert discussions, exciting test drives, and a legendary venue like Brands Hatch created a memorable day that demonstrated MC’s commitment to bringing innovation and service to our customers.

MC Stands Out at Truckfest South East 2024

In August, we took our summer showcase on the road again, this time to Truckfest South East 2024. Held at the South of England Showground, the event provided an excellent opportunity for MC to exhibit our products and services to an engaged and wider audience.

Our stand featured an impressive array of trucks, including a much-talked-about electric demo that captured the attention of many visitors. Alongside this, we displayed several customer trucks in full livery, bringing our stand to life and reflecting the strong relationships we have built with our partners. Special thanks go out to our customers, including Shane Huntley, Hallett Silbermann, SCS, Britanniacrest, and others, for their support in making our stand a showstopper.

We also featured a dedicated Isuzu display, showcasing trucks from 3.5 to 13.5 tonnes with various body types to highlight their versatility across different industries. The variety on display demonstrated the incredible range of options MC can provide for businesses looking to enhance their fleet with reliable, high-performing vehicles.

Truckfest is more than just a truck show—it’s a community event, with live entertainment, stunt shows, and vintage vehicle parades keeping attendees engaged throughout the weekend. MC had its moment in the spotlight too, with a Q&A session that allowed us to share more in-depth information about our trucks with an enthusiastic crowd. Back at the stand, we enjoyed connecting with a wide range of people, giving them the chance to explore our vehicles up close and personal.
